Meeting schedule:Western Pennsylvania Woodworkers meets the second Saturday of the month. Coffee and donuts are served at 9:30am with a half hour social session. The meeting begins at 10:00am and continues until around 12:00 noon. Location:The new shop of Bill James (James Wood Works) and Craig Marcus (Marcus Studio) at 6545 Hamilton Avenue in East Liberty. View Larger Map Unless noted otherwise, all future meetings will be held at Bill & Craig's shop which is located at 6545 Hamilton Avenue in East Liberty (zip code is 15206 for those of you who want to do a Google Maps or MapQuest search). It is a cream-colored building with a 25-car fenced parking lot and is right next to a Sherwin Williams paint store. Plenty of street parking is also available. The building is easy to find; we are about 2-1/2 blocks from the intersection of Fifth Ave. and Hamilton Ave. Basic directions:From the north and Route 28: take the Highland Park Bridge to Washington Blvd; follow Washington Blvd to the traffic signal at top of the hill which is Frankstown Avenue; go one more block to the next traffic signal which is Hamilton Avenue and make a right; the building is 2-1/2 blocks down on the right.From the south and Parkway East outbound: exit at Oakland/Forbes Avenue and find your way to Fifth Avenue going east (away from Pittsburgh/Oakland); continue past Shadyside until you get to the traffic signal at Penn Avenue; continue straight on Fifth (the road bears to the left a little) for one more long block to the next traffic signal which is Hamilton Avenue and make a left; the building is 2-1/2 blocks down on the right. From the east and Parkway East inbound: exit at Churchill and follow Penn Avenue all the way through Wilkinsburg; continue on Penn Avenue to the traffic signal at Fifth Avenue and make a right; go one long block to the next traffic signal which is Hamilton Avenue and make a left; the building is 2-1/2 blocks down on the right. |
