I have a local friend who had some furniture damaged when a buck crashed through a window and invaded his house one night (I’m not making this up). He is looking for someone to repair a bookcase that needs both some wood repaired and a piece of leaded glass replaced. Any suggestions. Local furniture refinishers are giving him the run-around.

I can’t really help him, but it does add new meaning to the expression “The buck stops here!”.

Actually, I have a good friend that had a similiar thing happen to his house when he and his family were out of town. The deer went through a front picture window. A neighbor saw the whole thing and called the police. In the mean time the dear found it’s way into a back bedroom. The police decided to shoot the deer, that was now standing on Sam’s bed, and then dragged him (bleeding) out of the house over Sam’s wife’s new white carpet. Sam said when his insurance agent could finally stop laughing he told him he wasn’t covered…..
