Meeting Agenda

Meeting Date: February 10, 2018

Meeting Start Time: 10:00 AM

You’ve spent hours, days, weeks, months, and possibly years (you know, that “project” leaning in the corner of your shop) preparing parts for your project, and at some point you need to glue them together. No amount of procrastination, fear, or “thinking” about it will actually get the parts assembled, but a little knowledge and a handful of tricks can make it a less-daunting task. WPW member Bill James will present a program focused on some of the clamps, jigs, cauls, and techniques that he has used over the years to execute glue-ups in as stress-free a way as possible. No 60-90 minute program can possibly cover all of the possible techniques or problems likely to be encountered, but there are some basic rules and techniques at the heart of most successful gluing and clamping strategies that should be a part of everyone’s skill set. Even if you walk away with just one kernel of knowledge that makes a glue-up go easier, it’s worth braving the cold…
