The COVID-19 Pandemic forced the cancellation of in-person meetings. This was our first virtual meeting, bringing us into our members’ home workshops.
Five WPW members (Ben Abate, Alex Botkin, Bill James, Elmer Nahum, and Mike Trueblood) will be presenting an audio and visual tour of some aspect(s) of their workbench that you might find useful, unique, or worthy of copying. I could go into the details of what each person will show, but why spoil the surprise — besides, what else are you going to do this Saturday! Please join us as we try to make this work.
After much research, discussion, and input from some club members, we have decided to use Cisco’s Webex platform (more on this below). My previous emails cover the back-story of how we’ve arrived at this decision, and I’d like to reiterate that we do realize that some portion of our members may feel a bit intimidated by the process of joining and watching a virtual meeting, but we ask that you please give it a try. Our webmaster, James Gabello, has provided the invitation below and, more importantly, a PDF document with instructions on how to set up and join the Webex meeting are available on the club website. Even though it’s very easy to join a Webex meeting, I urge you to read the instructions (lots of pictures!) that James has provided — it makes it very easy.
Looking forward to seeing lots of you on Saturday,
Bill James
