Our speaker this month will be Brian Wynn, Technical Sales and Service Representative from Mohawk Finishes, who will be doing a presentation on furniture touch-ups, from lightly scratched to severely damaged. Brian has recently joined Mohawk and has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of the furniture finishing and touch-up industries. Through lecture and plenty of demonstration, Brian will take us through various Mohawk products and techniques, including markers, fillers, burn-in sticks, epoxy, color replacement, and top coating. I personally use some of these products (markers and PerfectBlend top coat) to “fix” life’s scratches and scrapes on personal, family, and client furniture, and I’m often hailed as being able “to walk on water!” There’s a lot more in Mohawk’s arsenal that I’m looking forward to seeing in action, and I hope that you’ll join us.
All of the products that Brian will be demonstrating are either immediately available or can be ordered with a short lead time from Accessa (formerly Clark Deco) on Washington Blvd. I have personally spoken with DC Clark and he assures me that while many of the products are not in their showroom, they are often in the warehouse and can be brought out to you. If you want something that’s not in stock, Accessa will simply add it to their next order (at no additional cost to you) and it will arrive within a week or so. This is a tremendous savings from often having to pay HazMat fees to have Mohawk ship product directly to you.
