Hello fellow WPW members,
As a part of our programming for the upcoming year, we have planned a field trip for the October meeting and would like you to please mark your calendars to save the date.
We have arranged to have a private tour of Nakashima Woodworker, in New Hope, PA, at 10 AM on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Please note that this is the 4th Saturday of October, not our normal meeting date of the 2nd Saturday of the month.
New Hope, PA is about 320 miles from Pittsburgh. We are goingm to ask members to arrange to carpool together to get there, and will help to coordinate that process at the September meeting, but if you would like to start that process on your own prior to the meeting, please do so.
Attempting to leave Pittsburgh early enough to arrive for our 10 AM tour is probably going to be difficult, so you may want to plan on driving out Friday evening. New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ (just across the river) are both very nice small towns with lots of shops, galleries, and restaurants, so arriving early on Friday, or staying after the tour ends on Saturday might be a nice way to spend part of your weekend.
