Truing Rough Lumber Into A Square Board: Basics and Beyond
After returning from the lumber mill with a rough board, you’re eager to cut those dovetails for your next masterpiece. But, the faces need to be parallel and the edges striaght and square, or your masterpiece may be headed into the fireplace. Using only hand tools, only power tools or a combination of hand and power tools, we will show several methods to true a board as well as show how to tackle special circumstances (i.e., board too wide for jointer, jointer too short for long boards).
