Stanley Combination Planes and Sea Shell Sculpture

Saturday, September 13, 2014
Presented by: Elmer Nahum and Steve Wicht

Meeting Agenda

Meeting Date: September 13, 2014

Meeting Start Time: 10:00 AM

WPW Member Elmer Nahum will discuss the usefulness and limitations of the Stanley 55 and 45 combination planes. Hopefully, we will teach you how not to curse at these sometimes temperamental tools and show their use for ploughing, joinery and mouldings. The Stanley 55 can help you create numerous complex custom mouldings for furniture, picture frames, or trimwork that a router might have trouble replicating.

We will also be having a pre-meeting presentation. Club member Steve Wicht will demonstrate his technique to fabricate a sea shell like sculpture. You may recall that Steve first presented his sculpture at the club’s 2013 show-and-tell.

As usual, coffee and donuts will be provided starting at 9:30am.
